Fes is one of the most ancient of the Emperial towns of the Kingdom. It was founded by IDRISS II at the beginning of the 9th Century and has remained unaltered since the 12th Century.   It contains one of the largest Middle Ages City of the world and its past international influence turned it into one of the capitals of the Moslem and Arabic civilisations, together with DAMAS BAGDAD CORDOBA or GREANDA. The Medina (ancient town) listed under the UNESCO World Heritage still testifies of the past, when the pattern of life and traditions were perpetuated throughout the centuries.    The Medina remains as in the past… swarming with people, colourful, alluring, mysterious, and timeless…An everlasting enchantment to both visitors and inhabitants.
